Where are all the customer's boats?

There's an old story about a guy who sold his business in the midwest and reaped a few million dollars for it that he wanted to invest. He goes to New York and gets courted by various bankers for his business (i.e. to invest his money for him). One banker walks him to the pier and shows him these huge boats and talks about which ones are owned by various executives at his big ol' Wall Street firm - thus striving to prove how great they are with managing money. At which point the midwesterner asks "thats interesting, but where are all the customers boats?". Point is - there arent any. Which tells him a lot.
That's what I thought about when I read this article today. In Boston, Herb Chambers name is on most car dealerships you pass or read about or hear about. Yes, I applaud his success. Yes, I think free markets are great. But when I see the level of wealth he accumulated as described in this article I find myself surprised and asking the ol' question: Where are all the customer's boats?

Problem solving formula unveiled

I like learning tips from successful folks and then adjusting them for my use. So, when the author of this article articulated an approach that worked for Edison, Tesla and Elon Musk for problem solving I just had to share...

What are good ideas for online jobs?

Lately I have wanted to see what I could do with an online business. I don't really know where to start though. I know youtube is an option but its not really a business. Does anyone have ideas on how or where to start?

What should I do?

I've been having a bit of trouble for the past two months finding a job, every job that I've applied to here in Michigan did not contact me back. I used to live in PA where I had experience in warehouse working and I had no problem finding a job then but ever since i moved back here its been a struggle because my aunt was so kind enough to let me stay here she just wants me to get a job and I'm searching still and nothing for now and I dont want her to feel like im not doing enough or trying hard enough cuz I'm not a lazy guy, I take care of my business and whats needed. Ive also been battling between picking a job or starting my own career with my art and start creating T-shirts and such but the only thing to keep that is going is I need a job to fund that possibility. I don't want to let people down and I want to make something of myself and let that bright star within me shine. What should I do?

The Science of Being Great!

I want to recommend a book that has added an immeasurable amount of value into my life. It is Wallace Wattles the science series, which includes the science of being great, the science of being rich, and the science of being healthy.

This year my career path has taken me into new heights bringing increased challenges, growth opportunities and MONEY! This entire rise is not only in corporate American but with my children, spouse and almost all areas based on one principle. “Filling your space” or simple “adding value”. This principle is deep so get the book or hit me up and we can chat but in short...

We can elevate our situation by not looking to change it but out grow it. Once you HOLD more value than your current situation and circumstance life will automatically upgrade you. The universe loves people who add value to life. Honestly and to be a bit in your face, you are selfish. You wake up, post on sites like this, interact with others and spend the entire day only thinking about solving your own problem. Even worst the solution is so small it doesn’t even include others. When we are in this space we sadly enough become a burden to the world, this has been me a lot of times in my life so yes as I point, I am aware of the other fingers pointing back at me.

If you have the desire to elevate your daily energy, your overall passion and of course your results, here are three simple habits to take on.

1.Be more of a solution than a problem.

Start being a solution in your life by looking around right now in your physical proximity and overall life and solving the first problem you become aware of. It could be a dirty counter, a messy floor or an on organized method to look for jobs. Solve this issue today. When this is done look around again and repeat this. Never let small solutions go unclaimed.

  1. Stop or slow down on sharing negativity. Take a day and start to notice after people interact with you do they feel better or worse. Did you blah all your issues and negative beliefs on them. Did you try to make them think about the things you hate thinking about like bringing up your hate for politicians or cops or whatever. Know there’s a time and a place for these topics and that time is not “ALL” the time.

  2. Get rest. Sleep is a recharge physically emotionally and spiritually. It allows you to step away from life’s challenges and refresh. Get a good amount for your personal needs and stop making excuses to neglect yourself.

Hope this is helpful for just 1 person! If that’s you, yea you can like this post but better yet please leave an encouraging comment for the next person who see is struggling, pay it forward.

-to being the hero of your story-

Should I just take the risk?

I need advice. I've been a company driver for three years now, but I'm thinking about financing my own truck. I have friends who are FB owner ops and they have mixed advice. It's a 2017 Freightliner, 72,000$ 200k miles, OEM warranty. This would be a big risk for me and my family. What are somethings that I should know about switching from driver to owner op? How bad are the yearly expenses? TY - Rich

I would always try to understand why they were angry.
