I am a mechanical designer of sorts, and I have access to design software, and I've been thinking about doing freelancing on the side to help with our mountain of bills. I've been talking to some people online about what to do, and they all said the same thing networking, and getting to know people in the industry. Well that's all fine and dandy, but for a guy like me I don't really have any friends, let alone any in a specific industry that could help me out. I've tried a bunch of freelance sites that are geared to drafters and designers, but majority of the jobs posted I'm not qualified for. How do I build a network of people so I can get some more money rolling in?

I'm in the engineering field and I have an couple interviews coming up and I know that the "strengths and weakness" question will come up. Can anyone give me some advice on how to answer this?

Its about a long time I have got job yet even though I am good in designing. I want to be a full time design Engineer. I have done Mechanical Engineering but haven't got a job. I have lost hope. This was a field which I wanted to be in but past few days I have been thinking that did I made the right choice. What can I do no reply from anywhere. I have applied at lots of companies but no reply just rejection emails.
