I applied for 3 different managerial positions at Starbucks online and got an almost immediate response from them saying "While we are impressed with your experience, after careful consideration, you have not been selected to move forward in the process." This email came back to me just 10 minutes after I submitted it. I have managerial and retail experience so, it's not the lack of experience. I was asked to fill out a questionnaire about Unemployment and SNAP. I was laid off from my job in August and have unfortunately had to collect unemployment (which hasn't been much) and SNAP benefits to help me pay my bills and feed my children. That shouldn't be counted against me should it? I've never had anyone ask those questions so, I found it really strange that they asked. Has anyone else experienced that?

I work by butt off at my job and they decided to call me December 31,2018 on my way home from a family trip to my hometown to see my family. The office lady as the balls to calls me and tell me I’m fired and couldn’t give me a real reason. Just tells me they have to let me go. I worked my butt off to make sure that all my customers left with what they needed or came for. I always helped in any department they needed. I worked for Harley Davidson in Biloxi. Working for Harley Davidson has always been a dream of mine and being let go for no reason broke my heart. I have not been able to find a job no matter how hard I try or where I apply I’m 25 and a single mom. I have an amazing customer service attitude and always strive to do my best with everything I do. It’s heart crushing to know I can’t find work and that I’m about to loose everything I worked so hard for. The office lady that fired me had the audacity to text me telling me she hopes for the best and that I can keep in touch if I need too. My mind is blown. Thanks for listening to my rant

Hi everyone. I am really struggling finding a full time job. I was at my previous job for almost 18 yrs I was laid off. That's what they told me.i was making good money. Being that I don't have an accounting degree. I found out they hired 1 person to do AP @ AR. I have 20 years experience as a AR Clerk and B2B Collections. They gave me my 4 weeks paid vacation and unemployed for 6 month. I got pretty luck because right when my unemployment went away. I got hired I was so happy. My boss was nice but she thought i wasn't the right fit. I was there for 90 days. She kept telling my that she didn't trust me and refused to train me on what the job entailed. All I did all day was releasing orders. I don't know what happened. I did make 2 mistakes but I was new and they did talk to me about it. I'm very confused my last day was Dec 5th 2018. I was shocked. She said. She didn't think I was a good fit and my filing was still not mastered. I didn't say anything and left. Im thinking to myself I was there for 90. I was always asking and taking notes. Maybe she didn't like me. That's crazy.. Well anyways I am doing what I can to put food on my table. I am doing odd jobs here and there like baby sitting and I'm trying schipt. Its better than nothing. I want to do what I am good at. I stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning to apply for jobs in all the web sites because they up load them at midnight. I am really frustrated I thought I was going to retire at my last job. I want to work but no one is giving me a chance. I just get calls from recruiters with lots of broken promises. I am going to take a excel class next month for free at the library because I only know basics. I am not picky I don't care what kind of company. Even working from home would be great. I am willing to work for 18 hr. I don't know what else to do. I'm running out of options. Because I collected uneployment last year they said I can probably apply next month because it will be a year I don't know if I collect unemployed from a job that I was only for 90 days. I don't have health insurance. I'm trying to get Medicare and nothing. I live in Illinois my zip is 60089. If there is anyone out there that can help get me a job I would really appreciate it. I been laid off since April of 2018 no luck of finding a job have had many job interviews but not have any job offered

How is it possible that so many companies and recruiters are in search of workers and seems to be having a hard time finding and filling these vacancies? Yet at the same time there are so many job seekers here and on other sites, with a ton of experience in search of a job/career for months that are probably more than qualified to fill many of these openings. Where is the missing link?

I had a job that I I had a 2 step interview for. I was then asked to go through testing and having my References complete email surveys. During this process I was hearing from HR daily and they were very actively engaged in me following through all the needed steps.

All 8f the sudden the communication abruptly stopped. I know that the people who completed the surveys reviewed me well, so it wasn't Negative References. I have no idea what happened. I have tried following up a couple of times with my contact and haven't gotten any response. I am fairly certain they didn't select me for the position based on this behaviour and the fact that training for the position starts next Monday, but am I wrong to think It's extremely strange and unprofessional that I got that far in the process and I don't even get a courtesy email saying "sorry you weren't selected "?

I have been applying for the last 3 months with no luck! I went to school to do Medical Coding and Billing Technician, finally I got my Certification, but every where you apply they ask for 5 years and up of experience, nobody gives you the opportunity, sometimes I think it was of waste of my time and money.. very frustrated...

Im passing the 9 month mark of being unemployed. I get calls telling me they will call me back but they dont. Agencies havent helped me even though they tell me my resume is excellent. They tell me they have nothing but then I see them post jobs for which im qualified for. I have lost my home since I became unemployed. I am now living 50 miles from houston, willing to commute and I am having no luck.
