Twistedly Unemployed

I am someone who hasn't been gifted with the opportunity to hold a job for a long period of time. For over 13 yrs I took care of my family and their emergencies which kept me from showing my employers what a hard worker and how dependable/ responsible I actually am. As I fill out application after application I am trying to stop myself from feeling defeated since I am realizing how un-impressive my employment history looks. Why would anyone hire me? A job for a few months here, and a job for a few there. It looks like I am a job jumper when all I want with my life is to find stability and prove that I can hold a job.

My family is now dead and I no longer have their obstacles taking over my life. They have been gone for 3 yrs now and it seems my pattern of not being able to find stability is being continued. When I find a job I find I can't stay there since people don't take care of what is their's and I ended up getting sick due to mold allergies twice; so there's 2 more times I had to leave a job that someone will see on my fantastic list of employments. 2 more strikes against me. I am stuck in this twisted rut and I don't know how I am going to make it or survive.

Not only do I live with ptsd from various abuses throughout my life, but also from dealings with taking care of my family. I'm not going to say its not fair, but I so often hear people complaining about their jobs they do nothing for, while I'd be lucky to find one. It makes my blood BOIL when I walk into anywhere and see employees not working since I work my backside off to the point I have no problem needing to soak in Epsom salt to survive.

The days of online applications have ruined being able to prove one's self, so people who take their days for granted can get all the jobs in the world while those of us who are struggling for air are trapped behind sweating palms and a screen.

Throughout my entire working experiences, I have worked in various customer service industry jobs which didn't ever really account for anything other than growing experience. I LOVE working with people face to face and have worked with Special Education for yrs as well as retail, hospitality, bar tending, I have over 30 yrs of dance experience to create my own dance company (and of course I am met with wall after wall after hole before the rock and hard place.

I've never came across this site before, so I don't know if I am wasting my time with this outcry for help and for someone to please take a chance on someone who wants to Live, while fighting to not give up.

Thank you...

When I worked at #FontanaUnifiedSchoolDistrict I gave great advice when

As a teacher I often spoke with parents who wanted to know how to help their child improve his or her grades or what work was missing currently I would tell them to ask the child what they thought they could or should do theater. I would tell them how to look up missing assignments and hold the student accountable.
