Looking for growth

I love where I work; this year, feeling the most pressure of being incompetent compared to other companies. Looking for an opportunity to work with a brokered agency.

Am I crazy?

The recruiter I was working with had set up an interview for me today with a local company. The interview was quick (about 30 minutes) and the person barely asked me any questions about my work history. She then turned to me and said that she would be training me, but that she would be out most of next week? She also told me that she doesn't work well with other women and gave me a strange look. The company mostly had men working there with only 2 women. She stated that I should be prepared for a lot of cussing. She says with all the men around, they tend to cuss a lot, and that she also cusses pretty regularly in the office. Really?! She then wanted to know how quickly I could start. I'm not sure I want to start at all. The money is good, but I didn't get the vibe from the interviewer that she liked me very much. It seemed more like they wanted a body to fill in while she was out and not a permanent hire. I'm thinking of refusing, is that crazy?

Got Nothing for Driver Appreciation Week

This is the second year in a row where my company has promised all the drivers a bbq lunch for drivers appreciation week.. Except it was also such a busy week that not a single driver was in the yard during the day they chose to have the actual BBQ so it was just the dispatchers and office workers that got the free lunch. They also usually give out a bunch of branded stuff, which is cool and all but everything was already gone by the time anyone had rolled back in. what the hell is the point of a week to appreciate the drivers if everything just goes to the people in the office!?! Does no one else find that ridiculous??

Under Investigation at Work

I worked for a company which cares for the physically and mentally challenged. Last Thursday I was told not to come to work because I was under investigation. I asked why? I was completely surprised and angry. He said he could not tell me anything. I have worked there for a year. The person who filed the complaint was new to the group home and the patients. I was told by a friend that the patient in question was asked if anything happened while I was on duty, and he said no. I called Human Resources, and HR did not know anything about it. They even asked me who told me not to report to work. I told them the person's name. The HR person said she would try to find out what is going on. The week before my supervisor gave me an excellent evaluation. I am totally confused at this point. Anyone ever go through the same experience? Thank you for any insights.
