Retention of employees serving a company for a long time with soo many in-house training is a valuable asset to the company.

Having worked for a company over 21 years and having had the skills with you makes you a different person than yesterday and you will be lost and found gold to any new employer.Do not worry there will be so many companies interested to contact you.

What motivated me to come to work everyday was

The ideal of being part of a family. A company that cares about its associates. A company that provides its associates with great benefits, allowing us to prepare for the future. Being able to use my knowledge and skills. For management and customer service.

Counterfeit money

I was told by my supervisor this morning that my drawer is $20 over. There was a fake $20 bill that was accepted by a young employee last night. I was ordered to give it out as change in the first large bill transaction I got in the drive through. So... I’m supposed to give fake money out of my window because a multimillion dollar company simply cannot lose $20!!! No way! Our town is a high poverty level population. I said no. I was told I’m to take the rest of the week off. Then show up on Monday. Not likely. I’m not a fall girl. Scapegoat or accomplice to counterfeiting or the circulation of funny money.

Balade your Way

What I really liked about that job is that I always made sure customers left satisfied.. knowing that a customer is satisfied due to my work makes me feel like I have accomplished a goal. I love communicating with others which also helps a lot in all my previous jobs, being a team player and also being social always gives me opportunities for better positions.

My biggest challenge I overcame at work was...

Learning to deal with different managers. Every manager runs his or her floor different, so learning what they all needed me to do was the hardest in the beginning.

Health Care is not just a to do .... It's about people!

Every patient that walks into a clinic is somebody's someone special and healthcare workers need to remember that what is "normal" in our lives is "extraordinary" in the patients life. We need to care for the whole patient and their family.

What I loved working at #UnitedHealthGroup

UHG recognized individual and team achievements regularily. Each department was broken down into teams which created a comradeship. We not only had individual goals, we had team goals. Recognition was an invaluable reward. Work place moral was always high! In addition to the camaraderie, employment benefits were impeccable. UHG maintained continuous training of all aspects in health insurance and the processing of each claim from Data Entry to the final accounts payable.
