I have been incarcerated for a great deal of time and I am bacislly trying to get myself established and workvis a necessity that I can't put on hold... so responsibly have to make sure that I put forth my best effort and I pray that this will be the beginning of a profitable journey..

Got a job........ start next Saturday!!!!!! I no how hard it is ....... felony class b served a year and on ankle braclet still done 7 months on it got 3 months left !!!!!!! Look DONT STOP TRYING ......... anyone in Vegas looking for a job let me no ..... thanks everyone for the comments they help

I started working for a company as a travel consultant. I was almost completely through with training when they let me know that they did not have my background check completed. I was told that something in my background (that was actually expunged from my record) was showing up and they needed proof that it was paid off. I sent them proof that I paid that off, I sent proof that it was expunged from my record, I even sent record that there was nothing else on my record but that wasn't good enough. They wanted one letter stating that I had no other convictions from x-date to x-date. This is not something I could provide and no matter how much I explained this to them it didn't seem to matter. They still wanted this one letter. Now I back to square one looking for another job and starting all over again with training and getting to know a new company and everything.

I just finished doing my Hands-On training and classes for medical assisting an having the darndest time trying to find an externship I've done my online classes pd100 A&B and I do have a certificate for CPR. Even with previous experiences with in-home care and nursing homes and also I'm feeling a bit discouraged. A career change is what I needed so I wouldn't have to have multiple jobs so I can spend more time with my family, a stable support system for my family, and self sufficient for me, but I do have a past. I was a dumb kid. But working really hard to get my good to put way my bad; an finding out that that is easier said then done. I can walk with my class and graduate in time if I can just get busy with my new talent. Any pointers out there for the ones trying to change and make a difference in their communities?

All because of my past and being young and dumb has came back to haunt me. Can't get a job because of it.

I’ve been getting interviews lately. They give me the job but then they rescind their offer due to my background from over 20 years ago. I need jobs in my area that are “felon friendly”!

So I caught a case and was sentenced I just got out did a year and I have 4 months left on house arrest already done 6 mo house arrest. But I’m having a hard time getting a job , I did my time and that person isn’t me anymore !!! I am qualified in a lot and I’ve put in over 200 apps for everything and any kind of job , I’m getting frustrated and feeling depressed is there anyone out there that will give felons like me a chance ???

I have always been a hard working,loyal,honest person throughout my whole life. I have had a few struggles in my life with My youngest daughter dying of liver cancer back in 2011 and shortly after that I had problems with the DHS and being put in jail. Long story short My ex boyfriend would drink and put hands on me and we would fight and argue a lot and the police would eventually get called. So my two older children were taken from me and put into DHS custody. I was unable to complete my ISP plan and was late for court one day and my parental rights were automatically terminated. That just about killed me. I have been struggling with a lot of life problems the last few years.I know I cant change the past but I am trying to learn how to accept what has happened in my life and pick myself back up and move forward again. I am going to always try to move forward in life and build myself back up again. I need to get a job that is dependable and get a vehicle and my own place as well. I had been staying with friends for a while now and I am not the type of person to sit back and do nothing and hope for the best to happen. I like to work, I always do my best on any job that I am doing. I really need a change to happen so that I can take care of myself again and start living my life. I hope to have a chance to get hired and get my life going in the right direction. Thank you

Does anyone know of anyplace hiring felons in Boise? I am no longer I idaho paper and looking for work I the customer service field.
