Serving our Seniors
I was the director of maintenance at the Danbury Senior living complex of 94 units. It was such a blessing to go into an apartment and see the smiling face of a resident waiting for me to repair their plumbing, electrical problems, and clean the spots on their carpet.sharing conversation with some of them formed great friendships, and I miss that. Being an accomplished singer, and parttime D.J. Ioften performed concerts for free, singing Neil Diamond,Frank Sinatra, Waylen Jennings,Elvis, and other artists music.I always draw a good crowd,I miss my job,but was dismissed because of cost cutting. I really would like to get back in the saddle, and be a blessing once again in the Senior community, and I will when that door of opportunity opens once again.

Thankful for the opportunity
Although I really feel bad for some of the situations shared here, I am sure that it is comforting to many post-ers to see that it's not just them or something they're doing or not doing. As I see the various posts, in many ways I am frightened and discouraged, as I too will job hunting next year. It's just too bad that there isn't some way for those in need to band together and create a helping situation for one and all Thank you for the opportunity to share and help others.

Ist pay at new job
Hello community, last Friday was my first payday at my new job..it's very rough. paid two weeks rent and the rest went to the loan I took out to pay for the back rent. left me with $38 dollars for a metro card for one week. This will happen for the next six paychecks. But it's ok. GOD will help me figure out how to get through this. As long as I put in the work and help GOD help me.. Everything will work itself out. I may have a job and I'm broke, but I am happy.. if that makes since. Thanks again JOBCASE COMMUNITY. Now I can help others by directing them to my profile here and they can read all the info that was given to me, for their research and whatever they need to accomplish.

Hope
I think hope is a lot of what keeps people going. It's the hope that tomorrow will be better and the future brighter. Anyone who has a successful story and shared it, reminds us there is still hope. I believe in community, I believe there is still kindness, I believe we will all succeed if we choose too.

Joining households
The economy, unemployment, etc., has hit hard everywhere. In Poplar Bluff, MO; some families are moving in with neighbors, etc. I'm talking former high income people. I know sharing a home, being roommates, etc., has its problems, but thank God some are willing to join hands through this trying period.

Here we go again...
All of us here at Jobcase are trying to support each other by sending positive comments of our every day struggles... In the mean time clowns are terrorizing our kids, neighborhood.. No!! Please call your local police station and report these idiots with nothing to do... What do they need? Some jail time to recover from their stupidity... BTW, how's that job searching? I on the other hand have a job interview, wish me luck!!¡!
