Stressful

I just wish I knew why no companies have gotten back to me, other than a few emails saying we're moving on to other applicants. I've been putting in applications for about 8 months now and it seems like the only people near me that get hired are college students. I'm just looking for basic jobs, like coffee shops, retail, grocery, etc because I don't have a degree & I'm on disability, so I can't make too much money & can't work in overheated environments because I used to have epilepsy. All I'm trying to do is make some extra money to take care of my kid & give her a normal childhood, because I get less than $800 a month, but I live near a university & most places by me hire mostly college students and I can't work too far away because I don't have a car so I have to make sure I can drop off & pick up my daughter from school on time because the only hours I'm available is from around 9a-5p while she's in school, since I'm a single parent. I'm not going to stop applying, but it's just getting stressful knowing I've been looking this long & people hire college students that aren't even from here & only here to go to school, before they hire people that have families to feed.

Trying to start my career!

I have been having to stay home with my son, Lane because he's in a neck brace from an auto accident. We have about 3 more weeks until it comes off, but I am actively applying for so many jobs until then. I have my Associates in General Studies and 10+ years in Customer Service experience.

The other interview I waited four weeks only to here they went with another person, had two interview with a company this week via phone and video call. I just pray I get something soon, my son graduates in June and prom is in three weeks.

No D.L. no job. Child support Nightmare

After being unemployed for to long.I finally landed a job.Knowing they would find my D.L wasn't valid.I plead with my case worker for my license back it worked. Now I have opportunity to get a job I have been trying to get for a while.Just so scared to quit the one I have. After bring unemployed for so long. Its hard to quit when I know I'm not happy there but it is a check.dont make sense as a truck driver. How do you pay without a license.Stuoid law I'd rather go to jail an keep my license.

Hired!

Finally got a job!!!! Ironically it is with the same company I worked for before I had children. (The reason I left back then.) It's in a different store but still close to home which is fine. The summer it will take longer because of the beach traffic but I can live that. It's a company I liked working for back then and great coworkers. The people who work in this store from what I have seen all seem to be really nice and happy. I literally didn't see anyone walking around who worked there looking unhappy as I waited for the manager. Which is a good sign. Keep positive thoughts and keep believing you will. State what you want with conviction to the universe. You never know where you will be placed. God bless and I wish you all many blessings! I will be around still too. You all got this!

Feeling defeated

This year's been pretty rough for me when it comes to my careers I've had numerous jobs it's been super frustrating because of personal things in my life I've been bouncing around moving quite a bit I've always prided myself on my work ethic the fact that I work hard I learned fast and I've never had someone who's hired me regret the fact that they did I'm a single mom and it's very hard to try to juggle being a single mom working daycare and life in general but I always keep good head on my shoulders positive attitude and I always love working with people

Wrongful Termination

I was at my job for almost a year. Worked myself up to a daytime manager within the first 6 months. On March 7th I was scheduled to work 11-6. Well the night time girl called off so my manager tried to bribe me to stay til close so he wouldn’t have to come back in and do it himself. He tried to give me a $20 and I didn’t take it but stayed anyway even tho I told him I wasn’t feeling good. Well that night my drawer came up $200.07 short and I should mention that a girl who had only been there a month was also on my register a few times. So I messaged the manager and he said it had to be a mistake. But the next day I was getting ready to go into work and my manager texted saying I was on suspension until they figured out what happened which meant watching the security tapes and looking thru the transactions. So on March 11th my manager texted me again saying they couldn’t find any wrongdoing on my part but that I was being fired due to being over the amount of shortage allowed in one shift. I had never received a warning before this when the policy we was told about for shortages was that we would be given a verbal warning first and then a written warning and then the third time would be termination. So I even told him if I had made a mistake that I would pay the money back but I also told him I wasn’t the only one on my register that night. But instead I got fired. Now my employer is fighting my unemployment and I don’t need know how he can do this. Was thinking about talking to a lawyer if I can find one to do a free consult but I really don’t have the money to actually hire one. I pay child support and my boys father is t working at the moment either so my kids have no money coming in at all. I should also mention I worked with a girl who was so lazy and the manager knows this but the fact she is renting to own his old house she keeps her job regardless. I worked my ass off for that place. I’d stay over and come in early and come in when someone called off. Was the only one who would come in to work when asked. And this is how I get treated...
