Greetings jobcase family!
After 5 months of interviews, worry, and angst I finally got a job! A great opportunity with really good compensation and gold plated benefits!
I am officially a supervisor of supply chain for the University of Chicago medicine! Now I can leverage my skill set and talent to help my community while making a great income to care for my family. Thank you Lord! Also thank you all in this community that have ever prayed or assisted me in this journey! God bless you dear folks!
To everyone looking for employment...turned down or ignored...told you were too old or over qualified or not the right fit...DO Not lose faith! Do not give up! There is something great waiting for you...have faith and keep pushing! You will find the place that you are meant to be. Try not to settle or sell yourself short no matter how desperate you may feel. Know your worth be brave and have faith!
I almost wanted to give up...hit rock bottom emotionally..but I kept trying and praying. The Lord ultimately put me somewhere that I can really succeed and provide for my family in the end. God is real and good.
My grandma used to say.."God may not come when you ask him to but he is always there when you need him...on time...his time". Those wise words are true!
Fellow Job case family.... ..
Thank you all for your support during my troubling times! Your stories made me feel as if I was not alone during this journey. The encouragement from some members during my lowest moments helped me pick my self up and keep trying.
Now that I'm back in the job game I may not be as active on this site as I was before but know thatI love you all and understand the struggle to find a way to provide for yourself and your family. Keep pushing and trying and you will succeed! I love you all and thank you for your advice and prayers!
God bless you all!
Warmest regards Darious

Disability friendly work?
I'm 16 and trying to find a job in Chicago area anyways I'm disabled and have a service dog which makes things a lot harder. Had to quit my job because they didn't believe I had a disability (reality of being young and having an invisible disability) amc and Marcus theaters by me are very acomidating but there's no positions other than bar tenders lol. I feel like a job at jewelosco would be to much for my health standing to much wise. I'm just very worried I won't be able to find a job due to my disabilities. I'm a hard worker and end up pushing myself to much woops. Here's a pic of the pup.
