Recently i found out you need to be certified to waork as a caregiver. How can one still work at something she lives to do?

I loved my job. I worked with residents and their families in ten nursing homes to assure their needs were met. I knew all the rules and regulations of both State and Federal guidelines for compliance so when any one of our nursing homes were inspected I was the first one they called to come for the inspection. I stayed until they were gone and retrieved any information they required. If there was as area of concern I would either fix the problem or find out what was the reason behind it. Both inspectors and resident families appreciated the work I did for the owner of the company and we never had a violation in the 10 years I was there. After my boss died his sons took over the business and told me I had to change with their methods.. they gave me s choice of quitting with severance and a car or continue with them. I chose the money and the car. Within a year they were behind bars and had to sell the homes to pay the fines imposed by the State. I was so happy I chose to quit, I just wished I had the money to buy the homes.
