It was a really great experience. It was the first place I worked at as a legal assistant where I actually felt valued. I helped me to grow as a person and as a business woman. I have left the firm to work my cleaning business with my husband. Because of the experience and encouragement I received from great attorneys, our business is thriving.

So I have worked for this company for 3 years now started out as the HR Coordinator now I am both Office Manager and HR Coordinator. I really want to go back to college but I am almost 45 and feel like I am wasting time going if I do and plus I have gotten this far without it just don't know what to do.

I have a Bachelor's Degree, 2015, in Graphic Design from Colorado State University, and have been searching for either an internship, or a position in which to utilize my design skills for 2 years since graduation. I have worked in a couple of contract art and sign positions, and a lighting design role, as well as freelance projects, but I submit resume after resume and rarely get a callback. I am totally puzzled as to what to do now and how to proceed. Can anyone advise? Thank you for any help!

Hurry and further yourself so you would be able to leave as soon as possible. The pay is low for the work that we do but I am happy about how close it is located ...I don't want to be in a call center for the rest of my life I am working hard towards a career stay focused

So I have recently quit my job and I know it will most likely effect future employment because of the way I quit. I used to work for a corporation for two years and absolutely loved it, I started off as just a normal cast employee and worked my way up to management in the two years that I worked there. A few months after making manager I left, on good terms with that job, because I moved to a different city and found out they had a location in that area and were hiring and I thought, "Well I've worked for them before, it'll be a great opportunity to continue to grow as a manager." I was hired right off the bat and everything was good for the first month. I took quite a pay cut and a cut in hours working for this new store, I also shortly realized that it was a franchise owned store and everything I learned from my previous location was completely different. The GM and I butt heads every day, I did not agree with any of his tactics as to how to run a store. He wanted all of his managers to just sit around and watch. I was trained that I need to be a leader and if I want my employees to work, I have to work hard myself. Long story short, 5 months after being hired, I had just finished working a 9 hour shift, and an incident happened and he fired two of my employees and called me expecting me to fix, if not I needed to return and cover for them. I was already headed out of town and he told me that I needed to return or I'd lose my job, so I needed to make a choice right there and then. I told him, "Okay, I'm done." And hung up. I have not returned to work since then. I know that it is not a professional way to leave a work place, but the GM had pushed the wrong buttons and caught me at a bad time. Now I'm currently unemployed, but have a few interviews lined up. I just need some advice about how to go into these interviews and explain to them why I left the way I left, without sounding like I'm complaining and whining. Any comments and advice is welcomed whole heartledly. Thank you!

Would like to work in a company long term and learn and move up ladders in a great environment that is a team effort with great strength involving working through the stress of any given moment. I have been working group in the restaurant business for many years. And also worked in a clothing industry started as a cutter then down to rectus and wear house work and whatever was needed during summer time.
