What I loved about working at #C
It's hard work but the people are wonderful, there's a real sense of camaraderie and the pay, for the most part, is adequate. I was at C&S for 25 years and I have to say, I was treated very well from my first day to my last. It's not for everyone but if it suits you, you'll have a good long career. A couple of words of advice for succeeding at C&S 1) show up for every shift and be on time 2) be prepared, mentally and physically, to do the job that you're being paid to do 3) work your ass off and take the money and go home 4) Don't bitch about things that can't be changed, if something can be changed suggest a solution, don't be surprised if you're put in charge of changing it 5) If you hate it leave, don't poison the place because you're pissed.
There are a lot of good people at C&S, don't be afraid to talk to them no matter who they are. If Rich Cohen walks through the warehouse, stop him and introduce yourself, you'll be surprised at how interested in you he'll be. Grab a VP and make sure they know you, this can turn out to be a good thing or a bad thing. In short, C&S is as good or bad as you make it.
Having said all that, they do need to update their hourly pay schedule, no one working in a C&S warehouse should be making less than $18 per hour, clerks, porters, receivers should all make north of $18, shippers (especially the one's who've been there for 10+ years) should make $25, unloaders should have a base rate of $20, lift drivers shouldn't have a salary cap. Just my opinion.

What I loved about working at #C r England was
Nothing, the trainer would rather go to Starbucks, Chipotle and walmart than be on time to deliver the load. I learned a lot from him but didn't think that was how truck driving was supposed to be performed

I felt proud to work for #C.S.C.E.P. when...
C.S.C.E.P. is a government program that provides jobs for seniors. The employer pays part of the employees wages while the government pays the rest. My job was to call employers (non- profit) and set up meetings in order to create these jobs for our clients. I met with our clients and discovered their individual abilities along with what they wanted in employment. Seeing the joy on their faces when I told them of a job I had found gor them was an amazing experience. We have a lot of retired seniors

Hello Angie, I am not sure if I can help you. I do enjoy teaching others if they are sincere, happy, kind and considerate to others. I am not familiar with your situation and therefore not sure what you need. You can always try a job of tutoring others. I will be doing this myself but I am waiting for the Covid-19 virus situation to die down more before I invite people into my home office for a tutoring class. If you want to work for yourself then you must spend time learning how to conduct a business which can be a lot to learn about taxes, if you should be a sole proprietor, partnership with someone, or form a corporation, etc. You can buy a book on this and contact your state government to get free information on business set-up in the tax area. I formed a sole proprietorship for myself several year ago and have had much fun operating it. Of course, this is not for everyone as many people prefer to receive a salary working as an employee and that is OK also. At this day and age, computers and the Internet are a huge help for you. You can google how to form a business and what the taxation is for operating your own business. I hope I have helped you even a little and I hope you find what you are looking for soon. I'm sure you will be happy.
