No interveiw attire!

I have an interview for the Marriott Hotel. Recently my apartment burned down and I am now in a shelter with no income in time of the interview. Should I still show and explain? Do you think they might take it in consideration?

Scars and Dress Code Discrimination

Hey! I have worked at a restaurant for about 5.5 months and have followed the dress code perfectly. I am a great employee and management has told me that many times and I was promoted about a month ago. Today, out of the blue, I was told that I am no longer allowed to wear dresses or outfits that show my legs because of my "skin condition." My "skin condition" is scars from a little over a year ago that did originate as a medical condition. They are now just dark marks on my legs. I have learned to live with them and not care who sees. I would love some opinions on whether this is a valid decision on my employer's part or something that I should fight.

Interview

I haven't gone on an interview for over 12 years, what is the best thing to wear? I have an interview Monday at 11 and another interview Tuesday, plus a phone interview Monday afternoon.

My advice to people interested in working at #H&Rblock as a #Secretary ...

look and act professional at all times, because everything you do reflects back on the company.

Applying for a Job in-person...DRESS TO IMPRESS!

If you have the ability to apply for a job in-person at the physical store, DRESS WELL! Even if you are applying via a kiosk or computer screen you never know who you may meet. It’s always possible that you meet the Hiring Manager or future coworkers. If you are dressed well and look presentable, that can go a very long way when they are making a decision on which person they are hiring. This doesn’t mean you need to wear a business suit but if you can arrive in “business casual” then make sure you do.

Appropriate attire/intellectual capacity

Sometimes we believe if we dress nice that's the one all be all, while wearing appropriate attire is important and sets the firs impression that people see. Secondly having the capacity to problem solve in real time and not constantly have to be monitored by supervisors or mangers are more important than dress. In closing I would like to say I have met several people who are shells devoid of learning capacity because they chose to fill there time with other things that are inconsequential to there betterment

Business interview outfit

This is a typical business attire to wear for an interview. Also, I know piercing are in, but as a rule I would take any eyebrow rings, nose rings out because it doesn't look professional. Also, most companies do not like tattoos as a rule so I would wear long sleeves to cover.
