Contacting Companies After You Apply
So I've applied to work at AT&T as a retail sales consultant. The last update I saw on the status of my application was "Your resume has been forwarded for review" and that was on Feb 5th. I'm just wondering would it be okay to stop by the store in my town and talk to the manager there and just ask how long it takes to hear something? What is the protocool really when it comes to that? I've always been told it's good to place a phone call or go visit a few days after applying but others tell me it doesn't help you out in the long run. Thoughts?
