Beware...fellow job seekers

I have been applying for a little of this & that. By that I mean PT F/T & etc. I received a response from a Awid Estate. They wanted to send me a check for $2,702. Their instructions were to cash the check, keep $135 for myself. & Western Union the rest to France & pay the fees for Western Union out of the check. The code name for this transaction was KIMYMBE. I responded saying if it doesn't sound right or feel right, it's not & I want nothing to do with this at all. We are all looking for honest work here. Be very careful out there. Incidentally, this was a work at home site. Wow. If you don't use your common sense with some of these sites you really can get overwhelmed with the crap.

Scam Alert

I was contacted by CIGNA Healthcare or a company that represented themselves as CIGNA Healthcare, about a position that turned out to be a scam. All job seekers - please be careful with what information you give out over the phone, internet and now they'be infatuated Instant Messenger (Google Hangouts, Yahoo Messenger, etc). I've worked in HR for a number of years and everytime they asked me for something I would counter their request ... "We need you to Scan and email us a copy of your Drivers License." - I will provide you with my I-9 documentation when you provide me with an Offer Letter and a new hire package.

Today, they reached out to me and told.me that FedEx had tried to make a delivery to me at 6:35am and that I needed to call this number ASAP to arrange for the package to be redelivered. Before I made the call, I went to FedEx Tracking online and saw that the tracking number provided had been returned to the FedEx hub because it had been refused on deli very. I called FedEx (1-800-GoFedEx) and not the number provided. The lady at FedEx told me the package # was a fraudulent shipment.

Legit? Legal?? What in the world???

I've been applying for remote/work from home employment and have received several offers for this one position which sounds very odd to me. The job description is to receive packages, inspect them, take photos/document/email inspection to employer and then send them on. Ummm...So you open a package that is already on it's way to the recipient.. inspect, document..and then drop back in the mail??? Is this even legal??? ~~Job Description: Logistics Inspector

Was called about a government grant and they asked for a prepaid card # and so I gave them 1 didn't think anything of it when I go to my account on my prepaid card it show the amount that they took to make sure the card was active nothing 24 hours later no grant $ has been loaded up was given a confirmation and an id number for the $ said once the money was deposited I'd get a call back to make sure it was on the card and then I'd also get an email told the guy I didn't remember filing for a grant but with applying like mad for jobs it's hard to tell if 1 of the pop ups was for a grant or college or what ever else has come across just to get to the application for said job. It will show up as Usfundclub.com Orem Utus They will ask u to make sure there is 5 dollars on the card I'm thinking that they were wanting a credit card or debit card just beware think this is a new scam getting a new prepaid card asap

Warning about Job Scam and possible money laundering attempt

I have been applying for jobs now for over a year or more and have read enough alerts to recognize the scam that was attempted on me. I feel like I need to pass the information on so that you will not become a victim. I will try to keep this as short as possible: I received an email to my yahoo account that told me that my resume had been reviewed for a position that I applied for on a particular job board. I was directed to my "Google" account and told to utilize the "Circles" function to add Raymond J Rood , hiring specialist for Philip Morris International. All communications took place in the "circles messenger" with Ray. (He joined the circle group with a personal gmail account bypassing any contact with Philip Morris, itself. Because it would take many pages to list everything that did and did not happen...just know that if someone wants to send you paperwork by email for you to sign, including a W-4 (they get your SSN that way) and promise you a "paychecK" for a large amount of money that you are to use to purchase supplies and materials, beware. The suppliers that you are supposed to purchase from is kept secret until after you deposit the check-and then turn out to be a means to "launder" the money you received. Not legitimate suppliers-$ goes back to the scam. Shortly thereafter the bank discovers that the check is not good and YOU are stuck with the bank loss. After I did my homework and confronted Mr Rood this morning with what I found out...I never heard back from him. (I kept all correspondence and emails from Philip Morris International and Philip Morris USA.) I don't know if he was fast enough to cancel the check delivery that is due tomorrow, but if it comes to my door-it will go the local law enforcement fraud unit.

Am I Wrong?

I apply for a job on Zip Reqruiters Administrative Assistsnt. I got a message from them that i didn't understand now 8 days later a woman name Esther had reach out to me saying that the job i apply for was taken and the application was forward to her. She stated how she needs a personal assistant since hers just recently got married and move to Canada. She need me to run errands for her, pick up & drop off mail. The errands can be run in my city/state. She'll pay $400 for 2 days a week and would send out the first check before the job even begins. If i consider she needs my information including if i have a bank or not. The main thing that had struck me was towards the end of the email. If i do a good job, then when she comes back we would meet and dicuss more to see if it will be a permanent position for me. In the whole email she never stated that she was out of town. I know that things happen and people lose their assistants all the time but i don't like the fact that she never stated that she was out of town, the only thing she said when she gets back, get back from where i didn't even know u were out of town. And are u even in my state? I don't feel comfortable giving my bank information through email to someone i don't know and i don't feel this comfortable taking this job so ignore it. Am I wrong

(Glardix)SCAM

I just joined job case and seen a lot of people getting phone interview with probably a person with an Hindu accent and wondering about this company don't go any further with this company after your first 30 days you will not receive any check and the only thing they have sent was a Police officer to my door please spread the word and news to everyone (Glardix) anything attached to them are using you and your familys home to lose packages because it's been shipped to so many shipping managers so it's harder for anyone trying to investigate or find something out now packages are lost harder for police to track. Thanks Matthew Let's get the Word out about this company anyway possible so other people can keep there Family's Safe have Blessed Day
