So how do I tell my new employer give a chance even I,m 57 I would give you my all.

I worked at. Subway in Ashland Ky, also had a second job, was late for work 2 times due to traffic issues one time and my daughter being a mess finding her neighbor dead after her laying in her apartment for 15 days, so i comfort her and take to my home, then i go on to work, and our time clock was at the cash register so if customers were being taken care of was not able tp clock in when i was at work, never missed a day and always worked extra when asked to, did my job and others, and i was the only one that properly cleaned to pass inspection, always curious, had great relationships with our customers, but yet i was fired for being 5 minutes late after 8 months, i loved the job and even the owners, got along with everyone, even went beyond and kept the outside of the store looking super clean and flower beds beautiful, on my own time , taking pride in the place, but others that were young and pretty could do anything they liked, with nothing being said, i never filed unemployment, didnt think i would receive it. Ihad worked before at other jobs for 13 years on each one, was enjoying a stress free job for a change, now it seems i cant gdt a job, just dont know if its my age, but i am a go getter, i hate sitting and im very active some say over active , lol

I am 60's and even though I don't look it. I can't find a job that would pay me enough to make my dream come true, I can be a housekeeper, custodial, landscaper, or even an office aide. But who would hire me. I am tried of looking for a good paying job. I can be a adminstrator assistance. I would love to be someone assistance in keeping their house clean and doing errands for them , it doesn't matter a male or a female. A rich person I perfer. thank you.

I been out if work for 8 months , I applied but mostly said they call back but no one did. I guess when you reach on your fifties nobody cares about you cuz I think they only want to hire now are young people, sometimes I think this also the reason why some people are on depression state like ne, what will I gonna do?

Yes i look great for my "age" but employers dont seem to want my experience..why? I am very good at what i do i may not be 25 anymore but i can handle a unruly bar and i enjoy working long hours..So why not me?

I have been asked by some of you whether it is more difficult nailing down a job after turning 50, and my answer to you is generally "yes". That said, we can make it easier on ourselves by being open to utilizing our years of experience and the skills we have developed in a wider and more broad spectrum. Experience can be a plus, but stagnation is a drawback. Be open to using your talents in various ways within the scope of various possible industries. "Break out of your box".

I have been a nurse for over 40years and am in semi retirement. I just wondered whether there was someone out there who would benefit from my nursing care; Sometimes i think as soon as you say youre retirement age employers think youre ready to go to heaven. I definitely am not ready yet.!!!! I am older, with a wealth of nursing experience and am fit and healthy.WDYT. My granddaughters text speak for What Do you think.???

I had no idea the challenge I would have going back to work at 50.

I'm saddened by the bleak job opportunities that anyone over 45 has . Rejection rate is very high as no company is apt to hire this age group over younger people.
