I got paid the same as a Director's Admin--higher than a Chief Engineer's Admin--but that was because I earned it. That is, I helped our Japanese guy communicate with the engineers to produce a couple of patents. If I stayed there longer, I could have ended up with a good retirement! But after Dad died, someone had to take care of Mom until she died at 94. She did not take Dad's death well.

I am looking for a position in the Human Resources area (administrative assistant). I am a senior citizen, but I have great experience and energy. I live in the Detroit Michigan area. Does any one have any leads? I have applied almost everywhere and I do think a lot of companies discriminate against age (which is not right), I work better than most younger people.
