Hi, I am an acoounting student looking for some type of remote job. No specific kind. Just one that I can work form home. Tgank you and i hope someone gives me some leads.

In 1992 I graduated from college with a bachelor degree. I work from 1992 till 2004 for several bank doing accounting work. In 2004 I decided to stay at home with my child. In 2010 she start school so I decided to go back to work part time . It took me over a year to find a 10 dollar hour part time job. I figured it took so long because I want certian hours in 2016 my child was old enough to stay by her self after school. I have been trying to find a full time job since then. I have sent out hundreds of resumes. I have my resume post on 7 different job boards. I signed up with 6 different placement companies. I have been networking. I have my resume redone professionally twice. I try to customize my cover letters. What am I doing wrong? I was thinking about going back to school but do not qualify for any type of financial aid and I can not afford school until I get full time job. Any advice please?

Hi everyone. I am really struggling finding a full time job. I was at my previous job for almost 18 yrs I was laid off. That's what they told me.i was making good money. Being that I don't have an accounting degree. I found out they hired 1 person to do AP @ AR. I have 20 years experience as a AR Clerk and B2B Collections. They gave me my 4 weeks paid vacation and unemployed for 6 month. I got pretty luck because right when my unemployment went away. I got hired I was so happy. My boss was nice but she thought i wasn't the right fit. I was there for 90 days. She kept telling my that she didn't trust me and refused to train me on what the job entailed. All I did all day was releasing orders. I don't know what happened. I did make 2 mistakes but I was new and they did talk to me about it. I'm very confused my last day was Dec 5th 2018. I was shocked. She said. She didn't think I was a good fit and my filing was still not mastered. I didn't say anything and left. Im thinking to myself I was there for 90. I was always asking and taking notes. Maybe she didn't like me. That's crazy.. Well anyways I am doing what I can to put food on my table. I am doing odd jobs here and there like baby sitting and I'm trying schipt. Its better than nothing. I want to do what I am good at. I stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning to apply for jobs in all the web sites because they up load them at midnight. I am really frustrated I thought I was going to retire at my last job. I want to work but no one is giving me a chance. I just get calls from recruiters with lots of broken promises. I am going to take a excel class next month for free at the library because I only know basics. I am not picky I don't care what kind of company. Even working from home would be great. I am willing to work for 18 hr. I don't know what else to do. I'm running out of options. Because I collected uneployment last year they said I can probably apply next month because it will be a year I don't know if I collect unemployed from a job that I was only for 90 days. I don't have health insurance. I'm trying to get Medicare and nothing. I live in Illinois my zip is 60089. If there is anyone out there that can help get me a job I would really appreciate it. I have an associates degree, how do I find a job that's not fast food? No offence I've done my fair share of fast food. I'm just getting older, arthritic and need an easier job. I'd like an office job. I worked in an accounting office for ten years. Had kids, took part time jobs so I could be home when they got out of school. Now I'd like to get back into a full time job.

Looking for Accounts manager Tax Accountant Position in NYC

Hello everyone, I lost my job after working their for 5 years. The last 6 mos. I trained the person thinking we will be working together, in Aug 2018 they laid me off and kept the person I trained that was their for only 6 mos. I've been looking for work every since and getting no where. In the past I've never had any problems, but just the other day I realized that I was 56 years old. could this be the reason why. I'm getting discourage be cause my unemployment will be running out soon (can you get employment extension) I was told yes and told no. I live in Virginia in the Hampton Roads area and have over 20 plus years working in the accounting field have worked in every area. Any suggestion anyone. I'm keeping my Faith and Trusting God is directing my path

Hi everyone, just needed to get an advice on how to get experience. I got my BS in accounting almost a year ago. I have been having a hard time looking for a job in the field that I went to school for. I am getting discourage because no company is welling to take a chance on me. Any advice on how to get company attention or any company willing to do intern or train. Thank you in advance for the advices.

Hi All I am looking for a medical billing job than I can do from home. I need it to supplement my income. I got divorce in 2015 and had to start my life all over with a daughter in college. I have my medical billing certification and is in school for medical coding. But due to my 18 plus years in accounts payable auditing. I am not getting any offers for medical billing, so I am in the process of revising my resume, taking out my experience in accounting. Do you think it's a good idea to do so? Can anyone advise me, where I can find a job remotely? or which direction I should go?
