I slip and fell down on the left side of my body while I was in the freezer. I will be unable to work for at least a week or two. how do I go about making an accident claim or whom can I ask for assistants?
Yes, your supervisor should have filled it out and they should have sent you to the hospital with forms for the physicians seeing you fill out if you are in the US. If they did not that is a big problem for them.
your supervisor should have filled out an accident report at the time u had the accident
What is your job ? Were you required to wear non slips and were you wearing them at the time of the accident ?
check with hr dept. and get checked at the hospital
You need to file for workman’s comp. This protects you by giving you payment when you can’t work. If you file you can’t sue your employer for any negligence in the future.
Also most doctors will help you fill them out and submit them when they examine you. They will also file the paperwork with L&I.
You shouldn’t to unless you are getting denied. But IDK. Some legal websites do offer help.
Go to dol.gov and search worker compensation. Ask your manager to fill out the paperwork—which they should have started for you that day. Get a doctor to sign paperwork somewhere in that process.
we need more info, as in, did the Insurance Adjuster contact you yet?
