What experience do I need to be hired as a Sales Associate?

It really depends on the job itself some places may ask for some forum of customer service experience other may not mostly you will encounter a NO work experience needed type of entry level job.
You must actually like talking to and helping human beings. A sales associate is in the field of customer service (and retention). Generosity of soul, good humor, calm, maturity, patience, and level-headedness go a long way. Having held other customer-facing jobs like grocery store cashier and inside sales is good experience.
Having Premier customer service and being very courteous.
What area do you live? I look for people with a winning smile and great communication and can follow directions.
Coustomer service and any general sales should be fine

Be a people person and have good communication skills. It always help to know about the product the customer is asking about.
