Target to keep stores closed on Thanksgiving for good -- should all companies do this?
Target is taking a big step this year by permanently closing their stories on Turkey Day.
Should more companies do this for the benefit of their employees? #worklifebalance #WhatDoYOUthink?

Its about time that companies honor family time instead of dollars!!!

No! Half of your employees will be mad because they can’t make the extra money for Christmas. Leave it open for your employees to choose!

When I was growing up (many years ago) most businesses were closed on Sunday. The only businesses open were convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants and theaters. Maybe we should go back to that.

Yes, we need to get back to family!

Yes

Yes they should close for the Holiday

I agree with James. Make it a free choice

I agree with you Robert it’s a win win if you have those requirements from the employer

All these stores are open because of consumer demand. If consumers would stay home and enjoy the holiday instead of rushing out to shop the stores would remain closed.
The answer to this question is very simple if all companies were required to pay double time for all employees that work on holidays you would only have people who want to work those holidays and make that extra money in those who don’t will stay home and not make that extra money. The company wins because they’re going to make a lot more money being open on Thanksgiving because so many people are off on Thanksgiving. In other words make it a free choice
