That depends on whether you work for a company owned restaurant or a franchisee. If a franchisee has multiple units there may be more opportunity for advancement. The corporation typically offers a lot of on going training i.e. BKU (Burger King University), and this training is exceptional. Career advancement in any company can be complicated since entry level employees may be subject to an immediate supervisor/manager that is not committed to your growth. I worked in Puerto Rico franchise. There were very different standards for careers there
