How to find a reliable used car for taxi driving?

Looking for advice on selecting a used car suitable for taxi driving. The main focus is reliability, low maintenance costs, fuel efficiency, and long-term durability under high daily mileage.

What models or factors should be prioritized when choosing a vehicle that will be used intensively for passenger transport?

I went through the same search a while back. I also looked outside local listings because everything around me was either overpriced or already beaten up. Ended up browsing auction inventory through AutoBidMaster and it actually gave a better picture of what the market looks like at that budget. Main thing I learned is don’t overthink it, if it’s going to run 200–300 miles a day, condition matters way more than the badge on the hood.

I would say FB Marketplace, but there are a lot of scam. Use legit auto auctions with a license.

Facebook Marketplace. Just look at any car sales in your city. But don't forget about pre-inspection. Goodl luck.

When choosing a used car for taxi driving, prioritize reliability, low maintenance costs, fuel efficiency, and durability. Look for models known for their longevity like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, or Ford Fusion. Consider vehicles with good fuel economy and solid safety ratings. Look for well-maintained cars with service records and consider getting a pre-purchase inspection. Explore options on Jobcase, as well as other job search providers, to find reliable used cars for your taxi business.
