Hi Barbara: Welcome to Jobcase! Since you have a few years before working as a medical assistant, keep close contact with the career services at your school. Depending how far along you are in the program ask if they can provide some internships where can do vital signs and get some practice. Also, if your are comfortable speak to your physician about your career goals and they can possibly find someone you can shadow.
