As a substitute teacher,, generally what is the pay?
Hi Mark, former teacher here. It really depends on the school district, each one is different. It also depends if you are retired or a new educator. Retired educators make more as a sub, but typically I made about $95 a day before taxes.

Its interesting that its illegal to ask a candidate his age, but it's quite clear that your age makes a difference. Its a fact that older people with vast experience can clearly do the job, however the older candidate comes at a higher cost. Let's not fool ourselves, as soon as you list a graduation date the hunter can clearly tell your age. Then passes us over. Been there done that.
