Your chronological age is the least accurate indicator of your "real age." If you think your age will hinder you, then it surely might. I am 75 and do not feel old yet. There are jobs out there for us. Keep remembering that life experience is a hugely important thing!! I have taught adults of all ages, and I can tell you that our generation has better life skills than the students I had in my classes.
