How do I rehired at a job?
How can i get rehired back to dollar tree? In need of a job badly and i loved working at dollar tree

Hi, Susan - My first suggestion to you would be not to keep inquiring at Dollar Tree, because you cannot change their policies and if money is missing, there just is no way to get them to let you handle money again. But rather, work on whatever it was that was making your drawers come up short - were they short to begin with? Were you being distracted while making change? Are you weak in the math skills? Do you need to brush up on knowledge of common scams used by some people to trick cashiers out of money? Was this your first cashiering job and should it be chalked up to lessons learned? If you liked working in that environment, you can always move on to Family Dollar, 99 cent store, Walmart, etc. I would not mention about the drawers being short, but just talk about what you like about that type of work and what you did well, etc. If you happen to have ADHD or some type of issue that affects attention to detail, then maybe dealing with cash isn't your best bet. There are often really good training programs in the community, either a County Career Center, Adult School, etc., where you can get great job training or office skills without putting out much money. I hope you find your best fit. For more help - have you ever tried a career test, to see what your calling might be? I worked for filler tree and had to move to another state they got me as not hirable in the system I can't hear a job at filler general now

The holidays are the perfect time to spy out an opening- many retailers get desperate. Plus, after the holidays it can get a bit slower. However, many companies get new budgets at the beginning of the year, there may be opportunities there. You'd have better luck prospecting several locations but if your area doesn't support that, try similar companies, Big Lots, Family Dollar, etc. What about large pharmacies like Rite Aid and CVS?

Hi Susan, I would suggest dropping by the location with an application and ask to speak with a manager. If you left in good standing, you may be able to get rehired quickly. Good luck!
Loved my job. Worked at 2 dollar trees. Both in ocean view. 1st one was downsized. 2nd over twice & under once. All less than $5. Really would like ANOTHER chance. Really in need of unemployment!
