In Texas, employers can generally send employees home without pay for disciplinary reasons, including attitude issues. However, the specifics can vary based on your employment contract and state labor laws. It's best to check with the Texas Workforce Commission or consult with an employment lawyer for guidance.
In the meantime, you may want to inquire with your employer about the details of the deduction on your pay stub to ensure accuracy. Additionally, if you feel this action was unfair or unjust, it may be worth addressing your concerns through HR or the appropriate channels within your company.
