Do You Think it’s OK to Work 2 Jobs at the Same Time?

Lately. I read several articles relating to Over-employment that is causing both positive and negative reviews. What are you Thoughts?

Yes, many people do but you just need to let your second employer know you have another job and you need to work around the availability you have.

I think it's okay to work several part-time jobs but I don't agree with working multi full time jobs. It's not fair to other workers and not fair to the companies that are getting only 50% of the attention to their job needs from the employee.

I would only be concerned about your heath and burn out working two jobs. I believe no one should have to work two jobs but in this wicked society, it may be necessary.

As a general rule, unless you've signed a valid employment contract that prohibits you from taking a second job, there's no law against working for more than one company. That doesn't mean, though, that your employer can't terminate you for moonlighting or participating in a side hustle.

I see nothing wrong with working multiple jobs, most of us have to and if were not working 2 full-time jobs, then we have a full-time job plus a side hustle. Its different for everyone because we all have different responsibilities.

If the salary they offered at one job was enough to make a living, we wouldn’t need to work two jobs at the same time. I know they say is unethical to work two jobs at the same time but if why aren’t they make decent offers on salaries?

Kathy Smith I agree. I've seen So Many jobs advertised. It's flooded. Nobody is even trying for them. I am retired on SS so I can't even look at good paying jobs I'm sent. I look around at jobs for all the adult kids in my life. But right now in these areas around us and in town, there's a lot of work. Nobody is Taking Anything from anyone. There's a bunch for 15-$20. 20bucks even 15... that's not bad money. All you have to do, to stop others from making it hard for you to get a job, is just go get it First ☝️ But stop blaming these people Working 2 FullTime jobs for your discomfort. I've done it. Even young it was not easy. God love you all🌞

That was not the case when I worked two full-time jobs, and I gave my best to them both. They were two very different jobs but the same working with and caring for people with needs. I worked set hours during the day Monday thru Friday on one job with children. Then All night every other night and after church on Sundays with developmentally disabled adults in an agencies homes setting. I had one child that basically became the school and agency baby. Single mom sometimes has to do it all. Sorry, life is not all way fair. So some of us have to get out there and make life happen to the best of our ability in an honest, and productive way!

I currently have 1 full-time job, 1 part-time job, and my own business. BOTH of my employers as well as all of my own clients will tell you nothing but good things about me and my job performance. In fact, they would all tell you that I consistently go above and beyond. I have never and will never have a bad review or evaluation. Is this ideal? No, but when you are a single mom, you do what you have to do. I would love to have 1 full-time job that covered everything, but until I find that, this is where I am. Forget about not being fair (to anyone). Life isn't fair. Both of my employers know about everything that I do and encourage and promote me every chance they get. There is no deception in what I am doing. If you can't give each job your all when you are there, don't do it. But that goes for any job. One job, 2 jobs, 3 jobs, whatever.
