How can I avoid disqualifying myself from a job at City of Philadelphia?
If you've been convicted do not have a diploma what are your chances the conviction is 20 years old

I work for the city of Philadelphia right now and I am a convicted felon and finishing up my parole so that part means nothing, I would look into getting your ged because that part I’m not sure about but if you apply now by the time you are called you can have your ged. I would go on Phila.gov and see what they have open and apply for what fits just don’t apply for the same job twice or they will take you off the list but you can apply for different jobs just not the same one twice. If it’s Gods plan nothing can interfere

I share @Joyce White 's opinion. Talk to an expert to have what you can removed from your record and please consider completing your GED - that'll help not only for qualifying for jobs, but also opens doors to other training and growth opportunities down the road. Check out Jobcase's Second Chances Resource Center that might be helpful for tips with your search. Good luck 🍀 and keep us posted on the job search.
