Customer service is really basically a little common sense, a bit of being in the persons shoes, no placating, and not taking what they say or do personally. If you can really listen and see exactly what they are saying, and actions you are half way there. The other half is recognizing that it could be you and what you want or need help with in that moment or situation.

A year, depending on your personality and how you interact with people. Show a smile and sometimes a joke. Be outgoing and most of all respectful.

I am retired but in the business about 50 years. My husband and I also had our own business. About a year, depends on how comfortable you feel and treat customers, be upbeat and customers will respond. Have a good day!

It all depends on your employer but most companies only look for 6 months to a year maybe two but I've gotten plenty of jobs customer service jobs when barely any training it's all about how you present yourself and communicate. That's what they're really looking for is how you communicate with other people on phones etc.

In a customer service role you will need about 1-2 years experience, sometimes it depends on the company and what they prefer.

Typically, 1-3 years of customer service experience is preferred for a Customer Service Representative job. However, it can vary depending on the company. To increase your chances, consider relevant courses, certifications, or volunteer work. Check Jobcase, along with other job search providers like Indeed and LinkedIn, for open positions.
