Sometimes 14 can work farms check with local labor board

Honestly hon most places won't hire under 16 anymore for insurance liability reasons and because at 14 by law you can only work very limited hours. I do however know that market basket hires at 15.and maybe try posting on Craigslist as a babysitter I'd u have experience and only after your parents check the person out first.

At 14 I had a job. My job was in an electrical warehouse. I stocked shelves, pulled orders, organized, etc. Typical warehouse duties, but I knew I was going to be an electrician. On my first day in the field, I had an enormous advantage over an average beginner with my inventory knowledge. I moved up the ranks rather quickly. It was a very good investment of my 14th summer. Try mom and pop joints and attract something that has a level of interest. I'd view this as more of an internship than anything.

Why do you want a 14-year-old to have a job? Are you crazy..... Do you know how many people in the world would use this opportunity to exploit your 14-year-old? Be a parent and let that child be a child.

Most places that hire teens don't hire until 15 and they would need a workers permit from their school. A 14 yr old would probably have to look into a babysitting job or yard work. Try care.com for babysitting
