IAM a successful and willing my career setting it simply siriously, intelligent coz this is my choices to do myself in 10 to 11 years.

Being tolerant in any situation. You are there representing the company that you work for and tentatively Listening to the caller AKA debtor. Coming up with a solution which is agreeable to your company guidelines and something that the debtor can adhere to.

Understanding having patience being informative And always talk with a smile.

Being personable and understanding. Even though we may not want to admit it, we have all been in a situation where we were low on funds and had to make rough choices about our money. Be kind and understanding. Offer solutions. Don't treat the debtor poorly.

Also...you have to have good judgment on who is going to pay...ask for dates to call back.

For retail collection...be nice to your customers...try to make settlement offers.... Commercial collections speak directly with the acount payable team...make sure you have a good report with accounts payable and email invoices....always call your customers and clients...not just send emails.

To be in compliance, strong voice projection, able to negotiate, and always go the extra mile to get a payment.

Skip tracing!! Excellent student loan collector
I was a collector for 14 years. I believe my success was due to treating my customers with dignity, respect and being understanding of their financial difficulties I never threatened. I tried in every way possible to help them. If I was unable to help, I fully educated them on what happens next and wished them the best. Being empathetic is a must. You and I can be in a debtors shoes at any given time.
