
What duties would I need to complete as a Clerk?

- Check inbox/ message.
- outline tasks/ duties for the day in a prioritized manner.
- Answer phone calls.
- Create reservations/ accommdate customer's needs/ make sales.
- Open a cash bank, manage monetary transactions, cash or credit, close bank, balance your numbers, close your bank and drop your cash.
- File, organize, mail, and communicate any nessecary information to your coworkers or boss.
- Send out payment notices/ bills and collecte payments from customers.
- Cleaning, dusting, windows, what ever needs cleaning and perform daily tidy duties.
- Always have a positive, pruductive, problem solving, mindset in your induvidual actions, communicating with customers, and working with your team/ coworkers and boss.
- Stock inentory, fill out inventory needs, and prepare anything nessecary.
- Perform many duties and duties via computers/ technologies, and a vast varity of software programs.
- Close up shop/ pass on information, lock up, turn in work/ deposit payment, and sign out. I'm not sure I got them all, but i have 12. Is there a very specific 12 answers? Answer the phone, greet customers. File documents, general office duties, whatever the company or management ask you or what ever task you are given.

Dependingvon the type of job. It could include the following tasks. Answering phones, filing, faxing, customer account services, data entry, invoicing, accounts payable and or receivable. As well as other various general office tasks

Every Clerk job is different and calls for a variety of different tasks. A good scenario would be for a new place you begin working at to have it all documented in a binder of procedures, but that isn't always the case.

I would do whatever was asked of me and learn what I don't already know.

It all depends on the company, the shift, and whatever field you will be working in. There can be a very wide variety of responsibilities and duties as a desk clerk. Be sure to ask for details when applying or at any interview.
Ha Ha. It's fun reading everybody's thoughts abd responses. I love many of them. I also agree the type of job matters, and lots of our answers are mostly universal with certainly some secret ingredients to specific companies needs and practice.
