Is it weird that I have no job experiences and I’m a 24 year old college student?
Update: I just recently updated my resume and I’m going to get in contact with my college career services again to see where I can be a best fit. Thank you everyone!

Tiffany. If you’re interested in hospitality, I know that the Westin LAX is hiring.

Try applying for jobs related to what you studied in college

Have you thought about a skilled trade? Electrician, welder, plumber, hvac. All of these have apprenticeship programs. Earn while you work. There is a BIG need for all these trades listed. Electricians are in need of women that want to learn and use their head and hands. Just another option.

I don't think it's weird BUT I also don't believe it's doing you any good to dwell on that stuff.your frame of mind in how you see your history can be positive or negative by holding on to (the negative you see about)what or why you stayed in school that sets you up to putting negative into the effort and accomplishment of your studies. Your years in college mean something positive not a weight hanging around your neck.who cares what your mom's intentions were the education matters.

Short term certifications work more to earn money quickly

A BA is a great jumping off point. There are plenty of companies hiring with your BA is front of you such as: insurance companies, customers, government ect...
Keep looking and keep us posted. Keep at it!

I completely understand, I am currently in the same boat as you as well. Although I am grateful to have my parents help support me while I was studying college and I'm pretty sure that they believe it was well-intended (to an extent). But at the same time, it can be a little bit of a control tactic and in the long-run has hindered my growing process. What advice I can give you and what has been helping me breakthrough and gaining my independence, is to take any job right now with decent pay/benefits. If you have to get a certification and the company is willing to pay or if it's not expensive then do it! Try looking at what an RBT job is all about because from your last post on explaining, I believe that might be something that you could use your degree in. Many RBT jobs help with training and the certification is under $300, many places will also reimburse you as well. Also, side hustles like Pet sitting, uber driving, insta-cart, and those types of jobs are great for you to do in the meantime while looking for a stable job. You can do this and the motivation is there you just have to see it! YOU GOT THIS!

It isn't weird to want to do something, anything to make money.

It's Not weird
Some companies like recent college grads...just keep applying especially at positions that you majored in in college.
