This happened to me kept asking for documentation for permanent resident when I am a citizen. After much panic I figured out that you go into your dashboard and scroll down until you see "view your personal profile and contact information." When that pulls up keep scrolling until you come to "citizenship" this is where you can choose US CITIZEN. Once you have entered that scroll until the end and you must save changes. It took me 2 days to figure this out on my own because only got busy signal when tried to call for help!! I'm glad I could help. Good luck. I could only file last week the 3 previous weeks are not popping up like the instructions say...but apparently that is another issue they are trying to correct...good luck once again!

What does it ask exactly Jennifer? I am guessing a birth certificate would be the best proof to show you are a US citizen.
