Where can I get training to qualify for a Line Cook job?

@RobertSubee couldn't have said it any better. Everything you stated is real world truth.

Look to places that serve breakfast and lunch or stay open 24 hrs. Ie: pancake houses, truck stops, etc.

On the job training

Most fast food restaurants like Taco Bell and McDonald’s have line cooks

Training must 1st come from urself!! Pls understand this is a job that will tear u apart and beat u down! From this u will understand how to multitask, cook, work with others, and address pressures so difficult it would break many.. if u can understand this then any cooking job will help u in this journey!! Its up to u to learn what u can and wat u want to!!

Any restaurant that’s a sit down and not fast food most take you with no experience . Like red lobster apple bees etc.

Maybe this a little old school but wander yourself into a cpl of places and ask if they're hiring. Be truthful about your level of expirience, let em know you're kind of exploring to see if this interest of yours is the kinda thing you can make a career out of. School is expensive and, frankly, lots of those cats come out... almost useless anyway.. are you stateside or somewhere else? I would totally recommend a little ServSafe cert or something along those lines... would definitely help get your foot in the door.
Culinary schools are good but usually won't be much help with how the pace and expectations work IRL . Hands on OJT is best . Start off with basic cooking as a prep person , it's very important to know a menu and what exactly goes into the various dishes and prep work gives you the opportunity for that . Breakfast and lunch shifts will also give you the practical experience and knowledge of cooking and techniques you'll need to further your career .
