What's the biggest challenge of a Cashier job?

I would say. To be fast ,Curtis, to be without mistakes. (Drawer correct, all things rung up properly.

Dealing with no patience costumers

The biggest challenge of a cashier is to make sure that collect the right money and give back the correct change so they wont run short when it's time to check off .also to be sitting in a position for long period.

Standing in your feet , in one place all day, I could walk all day no problem, but when standing in one place the legs and feet get fatigued easily, and painful. Admittedly, rude customers can be a challenge, but once you learn how to diffuse issues, they're just a little flavor to your day...

Rude customers!

Having to restock items at the same time you are running a register!

It can be physically demanding.

Up-selling the customer is the biggest challenge. The biggest problem with being a cashier is to get the line down quick when there is one. Either by calling up people from nowhere or just sticking to the bare minimum amount of conversation you need to make sure you check all the boxes the company likes: 1. signed up, 2. extra help, 3. thing we are upselling or your own intuition , 4. would u like receipt, 5. charity, etc, 6. bag or not 7. etc. And these all change based on the company you're at.

Depending on what store you are a Cashier at. It varies. Rude & Impatient customers. I love being a cashier, sometimes you get to meet and have very interesting conversations with them. & you learn that you aren’t weird because other people do the same stuff. Also.. COUPONS. them old people with their coupons. takes forever to figure out because most of them aren’t the right item or the right size.. Also, learning the POS system. It will take forever, but once you get used to it. it’ll be easy as pie! y’all be a great cashier! Have fun!
I would have to say standing on your feet without the special mats so your feet won't hurt. Also, I didn't like when the company I worked for would change up the system and one would have to learn something new again after already getting used to the first way.
