Can you get fired for NOT working during natural disaster?
What if you can't get to work because of of flooding, and your boss says you have to come in, or you're fired. What would you do? #WhenItRainsItPours #serious

My family is first, myself second and anyone in need third. Couldn't give a good days work if my family and friends needed me to help them. My lawyer will explain the legalities to you if needed. Be back to work asap which you already know from my work history.Hope everyone is safe and healthy,Ford

You can be fired for no reason at all.

Take pictures of the flooding and geotag them so they can see it for themselves. If they still insist you come in, and fire you because you were trying to stay safe, you may have to seek a litigious remedy depending on how much hardship you can prove the termination caused.

If you are a healthcare worker, for example, the government will help get you there (ex. State trooper, fire dept, police).

I'll assist to the job always

Yes they can, especially if you do not call ahead of time to let them know you are unable to get there. If your state declares a state of emergency for your area then you should not be fired.

If the river is over 4 ft deep and the bridge floated downstream, stay home,

You can get fired any time, for any reason . I got fired for taking a covid test that they told me to go take not my fault it took 72 hours for results. But I got fired one month after they gave me a raise

Safety first always. Again, any good employer would put your safety ahead of profits.
