I have been trying to find a job for so long now have been denied 50 times some say over qualified some say not enough experience. My question is does age really matter for good Call Center Jobs ???

@Jody Santos It really should not matter! I think unfortunately, right now employers can be selective given the abundance of applications they receive. Have you tried working with a recruiter in your area?

It shouldn't matter how old you are as long as you do your job and be the best at it then that's all that matters. In my opinion, if you give it your all you've already won.

Joining "Jobcase Age Strong Group", will that help find a job/career?

It really shouldn't especially now a days when there are so many jobs out there!

So what should I do

It shouldn't matter at all. But yes eventhough they shouldn't consider your age I think a lot of employers do. I would keep trying not all employers are the same.

I told all my business it got me nowhere got me nowhere I'm finish with

I don't like talking about my past we call the past or the past we called the past is the past I'm leaving for the future

I did some time sometime years ago 30 years ago 28 year old I'm 60 that didn't mean my ass I paid my dues
@Jody Santos Your profile definitely reflects that you have a lot of experience! I don't think the line about being "overqualified" should continue to be thrown around by employers, because to me that almost always means they would be lucky to hire that person! 🍀 I also don't think age should play a role, especially in that kind of work, if anything your experience is even more valuable in that field than some other qualities. If you feel like it's ageism though, you aren't alone, a lot of others are facing this struggle as well. Can I invite you to join the Jobcase Age Strong Group? It's for workers that may be sharing your plight and I'm sure you'll get a lot of good advice there. Let this Community know how else we can support you! 💓
