Small company. Experience of starting one and successfully selling after 15 years.

Small companies are less heartless usually

I've found larger companies usually have their act together better than small businesses, but that's just what I've experienced

I've worked for mom and pop businesses for too long, now looking to be a cog in the machine for better benefits

I've always enjoyed working for small businesses, as long as the boss was a good person.

I would rather work for a small business because it's much more likely that you will get to know the owner or at least have a more direct line of communication with him, and it is much more satisfying when you know the person whose table that you are helping to place bread upon.

Worked for IBM 202+ years many good some bad times. Layoffs are common so I am ready to move from 790857 at IBM to employee Rodger at smaller company.

Small companies because you're not as easily overlooked and usually in a small business your labor shows a lot more and is appreciated.
