Here's the big secret of how to get an AWESOME mentor. Ready? You just have to ask! Most people would love the chance to advise, mentor and help young talent that is ambitious and smart enough to ask for it. And you don't have to know the person to ask.
So lets start. Make a list today of 5 people you would love to have mentor you. Make another list of where you are today and where you'd like to be (in your work-life) in 3-5 years. Now start at the top of your list asking that person to help advise you from time to time on how you can achieve your desired objective. I bet the first name says yes. I know one of those 5 will say yes.

You just need to get started and ask!
