Faced with that situation in the past (six workforce reductions, including the current downturn in the travel industry), I found it necessary to string together several part time jobs, working at half my current rate. Unfortunately, with the pandemic, my age and health, I don't feel that is a possibility now. I have a few weeks left and can focus on retooling... taking online classes/tutorials to upgrade my skillset in technology. I can work on my side gigs of selling Pampered Chef products and teaching senior citizens how to use smart phones, tablets and computers. I always have several jobs going at a time. The main thing is to keep positive! The next job is just around the corner. Bump up the job search to 20+ a week. It takes 100 applications to get one interview and 13 interviews to get one job offer. Keep going! You've got this!
