I think they do background checks. So if you have a clean background, you should be fine.

You don’t have to have a clean background. They use Goodhire for background. Good hire uses a points system for whether you would be a risk to others or can be hired. I was management for several yrs. The only time I ever had someone get turned down for their background was for child charges, murder, or an active felony case. Other than that you can be hired. If you do have a more extensive background or serious charges you can be hired under a contingent basis for 30 days worst case scenario. Be honest about your background. GW gets a benefit credit for hiring felons and people with any type of disability. And every store has to employ so many people with these in order to support their mission and be the non profit they claim to be. They have District mgt, and several SM’s, and ASM’s who have felony pasts’. The only other thing I advise to gain employment is too also be honest about any disability even if it’s mental such as depression or anxiety. You don’t have to receive a check for it either to acknowledge it. Because as stated above it’s a benefit for them to hire you but also covers u for any future absences so if it did occur normal policy does not apply. And lastly they do a saliva drug screen in office their at the store the day of interview. So be prepared to pass that. Hope this helps.
