I worked at Starbucks for 7 years depending on your manager if they are professional or not depends on you getting promoted it's easy to be promoted to a shift the often hire from outside or pull transfers before hiring within for any position the benefits are okay but there are better jobs out there. If you want a part time it I a great for that they want you to work there for a year before you can take advantage of their schooling. Other than that not the best company. It's not a positive company they just like to act like it. But, you will make plenty of friends just ask as many questions as possible to pick their brains but the only thing you really will take away is good customer service.

Barista at Starbucks

It is a wonderful company if you can grow within its corporate structure from barista to manager. Even if not, the skills you learn on the job and in computerized training are invaluable. Make a friend of the manager or assistant manager and pick their brains. They look at it very positively.

My niece works for Starbucks as a manager. They promote from within. She started as a Barista and worked her way up. It's a great company to work for.
