You need to study and take your state and national test. Then research a company that will fit, some companies have mentoring in the beginning that can help get your feet wet. After about a year you'll have a better understanding and be able to do it in your own.

You don’t need a lot of experience. Once you obtain a Real Estate License many real estate companies will hire you as a real estate salesperson which is normally straight commission.

Djanira, you will need to get licensed first to be able to work in RE. Different states have different rules/exams, so it would depend on the state you live. Usually, you don't need experience to start working as a RE agent. Some companies would even help you with training to get the license and you can work for them once you are licensed. Get your license y a darle!

Charlotte is correct. You will need to take 60 hours of education classes and pass an exam for that class. Then you can register for the state exam and you must pass that in order to get your license. Once licensed, you are required to ‘hang’ your license with a broker. Do a lot of research on the broker as this can be a huge difference between success or failure in the RE industry. Since you’re a new agent, look for brokerages that offer free training and/or lead generating. Try to negotiate your commission split as well. Good luck!!

You just need to pass a real estate test to qualify. The rest is on the job training.
