I would rather have more time off now that I have a family. Being on the road 6 days a week and 1 day at home does not allow for much time with a family. Especially when most of your extra pay goes to the government in railroad retirement board and taxes. I wound up divorced after a 25 year marriage and my kids hardly know me. The railroad at that time didn't have any sick pay either.
