I’ve been a full time nanny for 7 years now. Make sure that you’re CPR & first aid certified! Very few families will hire someone that isn’t certified. Having a clean driving record is also a big deal for families. You’ll have to pass a background check as well. Having previous experience with children (babysitting, teaching, children of your own) is a huge plus!! If you’re looking for specific jobs (ex- infants, special needs children/adults, etc) then you’ll likely need certifications that directly apply to those situations. Make sure you don’t take any lowball offers! That’s a huge issue in the nanny industry

It’s always a good idea to be certified in First Aid/CPR. Also you’ve got to love children too!
