Door Dash Took Back My Weekly Wage how can I get help?
I was going through some difficult time and needed money fast so I saw on TikTok door dash Was a pretty good way to make some income until I find a job. I worked for 2 weeks, the first week I was paid and one night trying to get dinner for my daughter I realize my account was overdraft because they had reverse my payment I called and spoke to someone who explained it’s a system issue and it would be fix. I trusted their word and continue to work because I still needed funds for me and my daughter the following week they took another weeks pay. At this point I’m just frustrated no one is helping me I have called them a number of times and was told to just wait, my bank can’t do anything and I have been with them for over 16yrs . Even writing this makes me want to just cry because I can’t afford this and gas is ridiculous and I spent my own money for gas and for them to not pay me is Not fair. Does anyone have any advice?

2 weeks into this issue I think you should start by filing a claim with the US Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division. This might now be a quick fix but it's going to give you a claim number you can use to leverage any conversations you might have with the companies payroll department, if needed.

Besides you might connect with a corporate head that understands the value of "bad press" and decide to cut you a check in order to avoid any further inquires.
